Bio

As a young girl, Alicia Harvey was drawn to the sounds of classic country music. While other kids were content singing along to songs on the radio, she would spend hours in her grandma's bar, collecting quarters and spinning records on the jukebox. The warm, crackling tones of the old country classics filled her with wonder and a deep sense of connection to her roots.

Harvey's formative years spent in Nashville alongside her grandmother had a profound impact on her life. As she matured, she began composing her own music, drawing inspiration from the sounds and stories that had mesmerized her during childhood. Today, Harvey is a skilled artist with a sound that is uniquely hers - a tribute to the classic country genre and a reflection of the memories of her early years in her grandmother's bar.

Now based in Knoxville, Tennessee, the artist’s influences can be heard in both her voice and guitar playing. Harvey takes inspiration from several female country artists, including Patsy Cline, Patty Loveless, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Clare Dunn, Ashley McBryde, and Lainey Wilson. These women share stories in their songs that are both heartwarming and heartbreaking, and you can hear these same themes in Harvey’s original compositions. She writes about a range of topics, from becoming a better person to dealing with the loss of her mother in her song "A Better Me". Harvey believes that the best songs are the ones that flow from her naturally and take on a life of their own, like her song "You Didn't Love Me", which explores the crushing realization of unrequited love.

In 2016, Harvey was given the honor of composing a touching song titled "A Little More Country" for a friend who had written lyrics about the loss of her husband. The experience inspired the songwriter to reignite her passion for music, and she considers it one of the highlights of her career so far. In 2018, Harvey participated in "The Voice Off" competition at the Wild Wing Café in Knoxville and was voted as a semi-finalist.

As the music industry continues to evolve, Alicia Harvey is an artist who represents the best of the current landscape. She has a passion for music that is evident in every performance, whether singing solo or with a band. Her music is timeless, yet contemporary, blending classic country sounds with modern influences to create a unique and captivating style. Harvey is thrilled to have found a growing audience in recent years, as more and more people discover the magic of singer-songwriters and female country singers. She is grateful for every person who takes the time to listen to her original songs and covers, and for every fan who has supported her along the way. Despite her talent and growing fan base, Harvey remains humble and down-to-earth. She remembers the early days of her career when she would play for tips in small-town bars and honky-tonks. Even now, she appreciates the value of a quarter in the jukebox and the kindness of strangers who gave it to her.

Alicia Harvey is a true artist, and her music is a reflection of her spirit and her love for the craft.
